FUETBALL PUELE PARLAY GAME
RULES:
Parlay is a collection of individual bets. For instance, choosing if Team A will beat Team B by 4 points is considered a bet. This is denoted by the Point Spread. If Team A is favored to win by 4 points, their odds would look like Team A (-4.0) and consequently Team B (+4.0) meaning they need 4 points to beat the spread. Additionally, there’s other bets one can place such as combined points (over/under), or against/for the money line. You can see these bets as noted as (+110) or higher.
The Parlay takes multiple individual bets for a higher payout. For instance, an individual bet with a money line of only (+110) means the bettor would only win approximately $10 based on a $100 bet. However, if the bettor is willing to make five (5) individual bets of varying odds, then the payout if all are correct could be much higher. Mathematically, the payout for a 5-bet parlay could be 2.5 times an individual bet. It could be higher based on the odds. However, it is this higher payout that makes the higher risk incentivizing.
So these are the basics and there are additional rules and odds to keep in mind. For our pool, we are going to make this much simpler, especially for the EXPERIMENTAL PERIOD. The first two (2) weeks will play with House Funds where players could play a 5-Bet Parlay simply by picking which teams they think will win this week (think of this as Last Person Standing times five!). If anyone gets all give picks correct, they will win the designated pot. If there are multiple card winners, the pot will be split.
After the trial 2 weeks, we will switch to Point Spreads to make it more challenging. However, the pot will be based on individual player contributions. That’s right, you will need to pay for your weekly Parlay Card if you want to play. Those funds will determine the pot. If there’s no winner, the pot accumulates for the next week at a higher payout!
EXPERIMENTAL PERIOD Additional Rules:
Since this is House Funds, you cannot request for a refund or payout without playing and winning a 5-Bet Parlay. You must get all five (5) games correct. If a game is cancelled, the card will resort to a 4-Bet Parlay. This will result in a lower payout. If the game results in a tie, then the card will resort to a 4-Bet Parlay. If the game is postponed, the card will resort to a 4-Bet Parlay. The amount of the designated pot will be advised by the pool host each week. If there are no winners for the week, the pot will roll over to the next week.
